The 2016 National Hereford Show Grand Champion Boar

Tank was a solid powerhouse and gentle giant all rolled into one. Deep crimson red and built to improve the offspring of any herd... we bought him as our foundation boar and have never looked back. Tank was outstanding in every aspect of the Hereford breed.

​

He sired several banner hangers including the 2018 Grand and Reserve Champion Gilts & Boars... ALL FOUR!!! He was also the Grand Sire to multiple elite show hogs including the 2020 Herford Nationals Grand Champion Boar "Cocky Rocky" & the 2021 Herford Nationals Reserve Grand Champion Bred Gilt, "Lucy".

Tank was truly our start and "teacher" boar. The valuable lessons we learned from him have helped us become the breeder we are today!

No Doubt was an icon in the foundation of the Hereford breed as we know it today. He produced winner after winner in the show community. Aged and gnarly as could be, he had the gentle soul of a good ole' boy and was super loving to his last "human family" at Reinhardt Mini Ranch up until we lost in the winter of 2021.

Spanish for Butterfly... this pig earned Reserve Champion Bred Gilt at the 2018 Hereford Nationals Show.

​

She was one of our first wins and a very cool one, as she was produced from one of Brent's original four females.

​

We sold her upon our return as a bred to a wonderful farm in Minnesota, who to this day have her as a valuable part of their program.

One of Cindy's National Hereford Show Sale purchases, this February born gilt was a definite eye catcher.

​

Unfortunately she fell ill after her second litter in late spring of 2021 and is longer with us. 

​

Bittersweet, the offspring of the last litter with "Cheesehead" went on to be very successful, including our 2021 Fall Classic Grand Champion Herford Boar, "Duncan"

This stunning show stopper was one of our toughest losses ever...

She was bred specifically for the Belton, TX show in early spring of 2020 and that is how she got her name!

 

We saw the potential in this one immediately and offered her as a lease pig to a southern show family for their winter circuit prior to going to Texas.

 

"Cowgirl" earned several banners that season and ended her career at Belton being awarded the Reserve Champion Gilt title!!!

We had huge plans for this gal upon her return to Wisconsin, but it all fell apart when we found her on the field with a severe leg injury that could not be helped.

Our first bred gilt purchase, Sunshine was a major turning point for our program...

​

We had a few heart breaking losses in the beginning of this huge learning process. this bred female was a purchase made shortly after one of those devastating losses, hence her name... "Sunshine" after the rain.

​​

Being that she came to us bred, she was in a quarantine pen with no crate when she farrow... another tough learning experience for us. She farrowed 12, 7 of which she crushed/killed, a very hard lesson learned on a big investment.

​

She did however bless us with a stunning boar, who our son named "Bullsteam". This boar became a key to the growth of our business and success, as he sired our first Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Boar... "He-Man".

​

Her next litter with "Tank" was nothing short of AMAZING... and produced 3 Wisconsin State Fair Banners.

The 2017 National Hereford Show Junior Reserve Grand Champion Boar

Stout, big boned, and ripped out of his mind... this boar caught our eye immediately when walking through the show barns at Nationals. We brought him back to Wisconsin and used him to help move our breeding program forward. 

​

Rosemary was a key purchase for our farm, made in 2017.

​

Previously owned, trained and shown by our dear friend Caitlyn Wileman... Rosemary earned Wisconsin State Fair Reserve Champion Gilt in both the Junior and Open Breeding Shows that year.

​

More than the future babies she has produced for our farm, the relationship our family has formed with Caitlyn has been PRICELESS to us both personally and professionally. 

​

From mentoring us on the Hereford breed and showmanship, to being a key showman for our farm... Caitlyn has a special place in our hearts!

Tanner's first show gilt, Fern earned him 2018 Wisconsin State Fair Reserve Champion Market Gilt.

More than this... she taught him invaluable lesson about animal ownership, training, and just love.

Affectionately named "Sausage"... this boar prospect earned the 2020 Reserve Champion Weanling banner.

He was later sold to and renamed "Hans Solo" to a farm with big plans for this guy as their herd sire.

One of our sentimental favorites and our first Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Gilt, "007" was the total package. She had a beautiful structure, personality, and a heart of gold.

 

This gal produced a handful of super high quality pigs in her short life... including "Boris", a stud at Shipley's, and the 3rd Overall Gilt of 2020 OYLE.

​

Unfortunately she sustained a life ending leg injury coming out of the crate in late summer of 2020... a heartbreaking loss.

Goshen had a look like no other boar on our roster. At Nationals he glided across the show ring commanding everyone's attention, ripped out in all the right places, with a stride and confidence that left little doubt in my mind that he would take the title... and he was young as only a March born?! 

​

We brought him back to Wisconsin and put him to work in our breeding program. He sired several high-quality offspring, including the 2021 Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Bred Gilt.

​

We rehomed Goshen in fall of 2020 and have since heard of his unfortunate death.

​

One of our first Hereford Nationals Sale finds, this stout little sweetheart will forever be Cindy's "first favorite".

​

Mollie was definitely one of a kind and made an impression that will last a lifetime. From her phenomenal genetic makeup to her larger than life personality, Mollie was a key part of our love and devotion to this breed.

​

Her babies did great things, including her 2019 litter with "No Doubt" which produce the Wisconsin State Fair Junior Show Grand Champion Barrow!

​

Her short breeding career and life was very significant to us... she will never be forgotten!!!

Big and beautiful, Stella earned Reserve Champion Bred Gilt at the 2020 National Hereford Show in Tipton, Indiana.

​

She was rehomed to a fellow Hereford Breeder's farm and is still producing high-end pigs.

Littermate sister to our 2019 Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Boar, "He-Man"... this gilt earned a title all her own. 

 

"She-Ra" was awarded Grand Champion Best Marked Hereford, a title especially dear to us and our breeding program!!!

​

She-Ra was rehomed to a breeding family in Minnesota and is a key part of their  herd today.
